Art has been a cornerstone of my life, inspired by my mom, an art teacher who instilled in me a deep appreciation for creativity. Her motto, “believe,” guides me both professionally and personally. As a passionate and driven leader, I am confident in achieving my goals.
After discovering graphic design in high school, I knew I had found my path. Currently in my third year at Iowa State University, I am pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design with minors in Advertising and Entrepreneurship. With four years of freelance experience in brand and web design through my business Bolded K Studio, I have developed a strong understanding of client collaboration and creative problem-solving.
At Iowa State, I have deepened my knowledge of the interplay between branding, visual design, and audience engagement. My true passion lies in brand and logo design, an area I approach with dedication. To me, building a brand is like solving a puzzle, where connecting visual elements and symbolism forms the perfect identity. My process has evolved to be both comprehensive and efficient, blending my passion for design with the purpose of creating impactful work.
Over my sophomore year I had the pleasure of serving as the graphic design intern for the Iowa State Memorial Union. Every day I was able to create something new!
During the summer before my Junior year, I had the opportunity to be a part of the number one business accelerator program in the world, Cystarters, through Iowa State's Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship where I grew Bolded K Studio. I have also had the honor of becoming President of the Iowa State Graphic Design Student Association (GDSA) where I am able to lead the next generation in networking and becoming stronger more involved designers.
Traveling, golfing, reading, fashion, and trying new specialty coffees are my favorite hobbies outside of being an artist and designer. Oh, and can you guess my favorite color?
I will graduate from Iowa State University with a BFA in Graphic Design and minors in Advertising and Entrepreneurship in May 2027. I look forward to growing as a designer and hope to one day contribute to making the world a more positive place through my designs.
