Poster design, social media graphics, client management (Asana), branding

The Memorial Union at Iowa State University is the "living room" of campus. This position allows me to put my typography skills and compositional attention to detail to use while using a client management software.

I am currently the graphic design intern at the Iowa State Memorial Union. In this position, I create advertising and marketing materials in the forms of posters (both digital and print) and social media posts while staying true to each organizations brand image. Because the Memorial Union houses so many departments and student organizations, I have a lot of very different visual identities to work with.

I work with the graphic designer at the Memorial Union, and we manage our clients through Asana, a client management software.

The MU not only has it's own brand, but there are several sub brands within the Union that I work for. Every sub brand has it's own unique look and feel, and the graphics created for those clients must be specific to their branding. With every event and advertisment, several different formats and layouts are used, challenging me to experiment with many different typography layouts.
